The Loot ventures into Shop-in-Shop format

The Loot, India's leading multi brand discount store forays into Shop-in-Shop format this March. The first such shop-in-shop will be launched in Sahakari Bhandar at Prabhadevi, Mumbai which will be followed by 4 such similar stores in its chain in Mumbai. This takes the total no of outlets of The Loot to 152 with a retail space of over 3,00,000 sq ft across India.

The Loot's first Shop-in-Shop format at Prabhadevi will be 1500 sq.ft and will retail apparel, footwear and accessories for men & women. On racks at these Shop-in-Shop formats will be over 100 Indian and international brands for men and women. At present, shoppers can avail upto 60 % off offer at The Loot.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Jay Gupta – MD, The Loot said – “This is a pioneering effort by The Loot in the retail space led by a consumer insight to make international brands available to the masses who are increasingly vying for better lifestyle.

"With a platform such as Sahkari Bhandar we hope to reach out to wider audience by providing great brands and affordable tags. We are planning to open more shop-in-shops in FY 2010-11, taking the total no of stores to 200 by end of the fiscal”.

With the launch of this new Shop-in-Shop format, The Loot is looking at being available at various other shopping destinations and multipurpose stores.

“The LOOT” is a multi-brand discount store, offering customers a wide range of products in apparels, footwear & accessories for men, women and kids with discounts ranging between 25% -60% – throughout the year.

The store retails brands like Reebok, Puma, Levis, Red Tape, Lee, Wrangler, Spykar, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Eccentrics, , Killer, Bus Stop, Indian Terrain and more 100 brands. The Loot and Mr Jay Gupta have won 11 major awards since 2009.

A few of them are “Critic's choice for Pioneering Effort in Retail Concept Creation” award at the Images Fashion Awards 2009. "Young Retail Achiever of the Year Award” at the REID & TAYLOR AWARDS for Retail Excellence, “TATA NEN Hottest Start up award”, TiE & Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence Award at TiEcon Delhi 2009, “Best in Category Retail – Value award at the Franchise Award '09 and Indy Awards for Mass Communication in 2010.
