Performance-wear brand Fila Golf continues rapid growth

Fersten Worldwide (FW), the exclusive licensee of Fila Golf in North America, has appointed golf industry veterans Ron Birrell and Steve Sakovitz as sales representatives to service the rapidly-increasing demand for Fila Golf men's and women's apparel.

Birrell will represent Fila Golf in the Greater Toronto area and throughout Ontario, Canada. Over the course of his career in the golf industry, Birrell has developed relationships with hundreds of golf courses, country clubs, resorts, as well as off-course golf chains and specialty stores. He will be responsible for increasing Fila Golf's market share in those distribution channels.

Sakovitz is well respected in golf and sporting-goods circles in New England. Covering Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, he will service the growing legion of golf shops requesting Fila Golf apparel and those experiencing accelerated inventory turns.

Birrell and Sakovitz are among an enthusiastic Fila Golf team of personable, service-centric and well-versed territory representatives in the U.S. and Canada.

Fila Golf's popular aesthetic emphasizes timeless sophistication, luxurious fabrics and technical features which has been at the root of the brand for nearly a century and worn by legends such as Tom Watson, Bjorn Borg, Lee Janzen and Kim Clijsters. The 2010 collection remains true to Fila's rich history of innovative design by incorporating a distinct combination of style, quality, performance and value.

Enhancing the individual's athleticism without hindering the natural features of the body, Fila Golf apparel blends premium and eco-friendly fabrics with moisture wicking, quick drying and antimicrobial properties, and other technical characteristics.
