Creations brings jobs for Jaffna youths in garment industries

Well-established garment manufacturers and exporters in Sri Lanka has agreed to offer more employment opportunities to job-seeking young men and women in Jaffna leaving room for them to contribute for the National Gross Product (NGP) while claiming a livelihood with handsome salary.

Accordingly, on request of Security Forces Headquarters-Jaffna (SF-J), Creations (Pvt) Ltd., a well-established garment manufacturer and exporter in the island, visited Jaffna and selected some youth for jobs in their factories in Colombo.

Interviews for recruiting nearly 300 young men and women as trainees were conducted by the factory representatives assisted by Commander 524 Brigade Lieutenant Colonel Ipsitha Dissanayaka with guidance of General Officer Commanding 52 Division Brigadier Lal Perera.

After a short period of training, new employees will be given a handsome salary not less than Rs. 15000.00 per month excluding production incentive and attendance allowance. They will be given free meals, free accommodation and free transport by the company and also entitled to a training allowance during training period.

Interviews were held at Point Pedro Divisional Secretariat, Ramavil IDP centre and at Saraswathi Hall in Ariyalai on 28th, 29th and 30th June respectively.
