PONY INC. announced the move of their PONY North America headquarters to the Cooper Building in the Fashion District of Los Angeles, CA. Along with the move, they announced the release of their long-awaited 'Archive' collection. The collection is debuting late October in time for Holiday delivery and is comprised of timeless PONY silhouettes from the 70s and 80s.

PONY Inc. is currently located in downtown San Diego, where it has operated its global brand for the past five years. "We feel that this is the perfect time to make the move to Los Angeles to be more easily accessible to key accounts, stylists, and all the magic that comes along with the Hollywood crowd," says Colin Brickley, Marketing and PR Director for PONY.

PONY is focused on what consumers want from the brand. The overwhelming response has been the classic styles that lie in the brand's 40 year old sport heritage. PONY will be re-releasing its 'Archive' styles from the 70s and 80s over the next few seasons. The 'Archive' collection will serve as the foundation of the brand and will celebrate the 40-year history of the American brand founded in Brooklyn, New York circa 1972. All styles will be replicated from an aesthetic standpoint, with modification for comfort and fit. PONY Archive products will be packaged in replica shoe boxes from the original 70s and 80s collections. To support the release, PONY will employ vintage images, ads, and videos from their vast Archive.

"The 'Archive' collection focuses on what the PONY brand stands for and will be used to educate consumers about PONY's glorious history as an iconic American blue-collar sports brand," says Tess Passero, Marketing and PR Manager. The 'Archive' product will be available at specialty retailers, boutiques and online beginning mid-October. The forward collection will also include 'Bridge' products, which are new and vintage silhouettes inspired by the 'Archive' product.

"We are extremely excited about the future of the PONY brand, with the move and the new product direction. We feel that we are really getting back to what PONY was meant to be and believe consumers will appreciate that," says Brickley.

PONY was founded in 1972 and quickly became one the most distinctive Sports brands in the world. Among the many athletes who wore PONY shoes were Pele, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, David Thompson, Darryl Dawkins, Spud Webb, Dan Marino, Lawrence Taylor, Reggie Jackson and Tracy Austin. PONY is a designer, distributor, and marketer of casual athletic and lifestyle footwear and apparel for men, women, and children.
