Inspired by the designs that propelled the European team to Ryder Cup glory, Glenmuir launches its Spring/Summer 2011 collection today with the message: diamonds are forever.

Millions of golf fans around the world watched as Graeme McDowell rolled in the winning Ryder Cup putt sporting a diamond-patterned Glenmuir sweater – and diamonds feature in no less than 12 products in the Lanark, Scotland company's latest seasonal collection.

In all, Glenmuir introduces more than 40 exciting new garments for Spring/Summer including significant additions to its innovative Performance Shirts range, new filigree embroidered Ladies golfwear, leather belts for the first time and a new capsule Junior collection.

And as well as some stunning and striking new shirt and knitwear designs, Glenmuir has injected a riot of colour with bright Mango, electric Kingfisher blue and Hot Pink featuring across the board to appeal directly to the fashion-conscious golfer.

Seven new Men's Luxury and Men's Classic shirts make their debut, Clunie, Foss, Tummel, Ralia, Atholl, Tomatin and Garvald, and golfers can choose from a total of 17 shirt designs in those categories.

The phenomenal popularity of Glenmuir Men's Performance Shirts, featuring hi-tech fabrics, sees the introduction of five new shirts, Jackson, Vardon, Condor, Eagle and Ambrose, with the Spey cardigan and Culcairn sleeveless slipover to offer co-ordinating performance knitwear.

Ambrose, for example, features the new Coolplus moisture-wicking system, while the diamond-patterned Eagle provides outstanding UV protection as Glenmuir continues to enhance its reputation for giving golfers the ultimate in sports fabric technology.

Other key new products for men include the Bruar zip-neck sweater and Thornton slipover in the Supersoft Cotton Knitwear range, the Stenton shorts and Struie and Delny trousers.

A raft of new products is available in the Glenmuir Ladies' Collection, most notably with attractive embroidery detail featuring on the co-ordinated Carla performance polo, elegant Marcia polo, Carrie stretch skort and Chloe visor.

All offer something new for the fashionable lady golfer with swirling floral patterns and subtle diamante touches bringing a touch of catwalk glamour to the course.

With the addition of six new Shaped Fit Shirts, five new Fashion Cotton Knitwear products, the new Tilda cashmere sweater and Tabitha Lightweight Merino sweater, Glenmuir presents a huge choice for the lady golfer.

Diamond patterns feature on four garments, including the gorgeous Rihanna zip neck cotton sweater with its striking diamond design at shoulders and co-ordinating tipping on the cuffs.

Elswehere, for the first time, Glenmuir is offering a club cresting service for co-ordinated teamwear for young golfers.

Featuring product designs selected from its main adult collection, the company's capsule Junior Collection includes Rory and Leon boys' shirts, a Zara girls' shirt, unisex Storm Bloc Wind Shirt and unisex one-size caps.
