Tunisia confirms its presence at ZOOM by Fatex

The Tunisian group present at ZOOM, under the auspices of CEPEX, includes 16 companies. This leading participant since the fair's creation with its ready-to-wear and knitwear manufacturers plus jean, embroidery and underwear producers, confirms its presence at the next ZOOM on February 8,9,10 at Paris Nord-Villepinte. Recent events have opened a new page in Tunisia's history but have not disturbed the promotional capacities of manufacturers in the sector.

Their presence, at a period where order-givers appear to have re-discovered the path to manufacturing at close proximity because of increased Chinese tarifs, proves that Tunisian manufacturing maintains its objectives as well as its reactivity and serenity.

France is the top European importer of fabric and clothing from the country, followed closely by Italy in this strategic sector for Tunisia's economy. Relations of confidence with European and international clients have been solidly established and the Tunisian companies' presence at the fair remains a priority to develop business volume, but above all to quickly reassure the continuity of exchanges.

For some years, Tunisia has developed co-contracting and has successfully distanced itself from the simple role of sub-contractor. Also today, the country must take advantage of opportunities with the economic turn-around and a trend reversal favoring close-proximity sourcing as much for fast fashion as for mid and long-term deliveries.
