A new brand 'Apparel Sourcing' from MFF

Messe Frankfurt France (MFF) is launching Apparel Sourcing: a totally separate brand dedicated entirely to garment manufacture and fashion accessories.

Following the launch in 2010 of Apparel Sourcing in New York, Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France, had announced the possibility of launching this new brand from the group in Paris while discussing the garment manufacture range at the exhibition during the last press conference at Texworld. This has now happened!

Considering the keen interest in garment manufacture at the heart of Texworld, Messe Frankfurt France has decided, in order to respond better to buyers' demands, to reorganise the clothing manufacturers as a whole, with the addition of fashion accessory manufacturers. Apparel Sourcing will take place on the same dates and at the same location as Texworld in the interests of saving time and limiting distances for visitors.

“This is a natural development for Texworld, where the range offered by clothing manufacturers, particularly at the September shows, was increasing substantially. To ensure that our visitors enjoy an environment that is more adapted to their needs, we took up the challenge in launching Apparel Sourcing” explains Michael Scherpe at the outset of this project.

Indeed, there is an ever-increasing number of companies who are endeavouring to verticalise their production chains in order to curtail costs, cut production times and the numbers of people involved. “The demand certainly exists and we want to respond to it with a consistent offer in surroundings that are better suited and remain professional” he elaborates.

The September 2011 show that will take place from 19th to 22nd September, is expected to include some 200 exhibitors, including the CTAF – China Sourcing – a long-term partner at Texworld's September shows, which intends to develop its business in fashion accessories. The aim is to set up a semi-annual meeting, just like Texworld, as from 2012.

Apparel Sourcing will be held in hall 1 of the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, while Texworld will occupy hall 2. These two areas will be connected, thus allowing visitors interested in the two complementary events more convenient exposure and access.

Marketing of the show by the staff at Messe Frankfurt France and representatives of the Messe Frankfurt group across the world will commence in January 2011.

Here are the categories you will find at Apparel Sourcing:
Men's ready-to-wear: sportswear, shirting, tailoring, coats, underwear, swimwear, uniforms, knitwear
Women's ready-to-wear: sportswear, soft-focus creative fashion, tailoring, coats, lingerie, swimwear, uniforms, knitwear
