Motionwear LLC, a premier supplier of apparel for dancers of all ages and skill levels, and official leotard of the Boston Ballet School, announced its exclusive sponsorship with the Boston Ballet School's Spring Showcases 2011.

Following the success of last year's landmark inaugural performances, the Boston Ballet School will continue their newly annual Next Generation & Spring Showcases in 2011. The Next Generation performance provides a look at budding dance talent showcasing students from the Pre-Professional and Trainee Programs, as well as dancers from Boston Ballet II. The Spring Showcases involve local, classical ballet program students performing class progressions.

“We value our relationship with Motionwear. Their commitment to the arts helps enable us to produce these types of events. These performances allow our most advanced students the opportunity to perform in Next Generation. It will be an exciting evening, when the 'minor leagues' of the dance world take a 'major league' stage at The Boston Opera House,” said Margaret Tracey, Director of Boston Ballet School. “Spring showcases are an annual milestone for our students and provide them with the opportunity to perform before an audience. It is also an opportunity for friends of Boston Ballet and the general public to experience the future of dance.”

Motionwear will have a presence at each performance in an effort to promote the events, the participants and product. Attendees will be able to receive free goodie bags stuffed with tee shirts, retailer books, posters and more.

“We are very excited to join the Boston Ballet School in promoting these events. We believe in the tradition and dedication to excellence that they bring and support the growth and development of young dancers,” said Motionwear Executive VP Chuck Pugh.
