“Kyrgyzstan's garment industry is now in danger, as the country's products will not fit the CU textiles safety standards”, said the Minister of Economic Regulation – Mr Uchkunbek Tashbaev.
“Export control by Customs Union members can become the greatest threat for Kyrgyzstan”, he said.
“The economy is on its way in reducing production costs but not customs tariffs. So the real problem has passed into the form of control and examinations at the border”, he added by saying.
“If Kyrgyzstan joins the CU treaty, then there will no such posts. Farmers and clothing makers benefit from that,” stressed the Minister.
