Lands' End Kids' dresses collection makes girls twirl

This summer it's all about girls dressing up in feminine dresses. From florals to frills and retro prints to ruffles, Lands' End Kids offers its largest assortment of girls' dresses to date. Each style is designed with quality, comfort and age-appropriate details in mind.

"As in women's apparel, the number one trend this summer season for girls is dresses," said Liz Pierce, senior design director, Lands' End Kids. "Parents don't have to compromise style and quality for value and we've incorporated practical and playful design details into our girls' dresses collection that won't break the family budget. There are also many styles to choose from, including styles with tiered rows of ruffles, pleats, piping and stylish fabrics and prints such as eyelets, sailor stripes, feminine flamingos, paisleys and plaids, in feminine silhouettes."

While the silhouettes may seem familiar, from classic tanks to t-shirt styles, there are also fresh details such as the bubble hem and flutter sleeve for a little more fun. "We hear from parents that it's important to offer easy-care kids clothes, so we designed our girls collection of dresses with super-soft, breathable fabrics and high-quality, machine-wash construction. We also want to make sure we are offering options for girls of all ages and offer sizes ranging from 2T to 20 in slim and plus," said Pierce.

Knit Kit

For versatile pieces that can last through the warm summer months and even into the early days of fall, opt for the Lands' End Knit Kit for girls. The playful, made-for-each-other collection – where colorful key pieces such as tiered dresses, leggings and tanks are designed to mix and match – is offered in a variety of colors and prints for easy outfitting.

"Interchangeable collections such as the Knit Kit are a great way to add value to a girl's wardrobe," said Pierce. "Classic knits in correlating colors and patterns, such as florals and butterflies, make it a breeze to layer and tailor based on the occasion or the weather at hand."

The Knit Kit collection consists of fun and frilly pieces, including tiered dresses and skorts, that are ready for twirling. Short sleeve jersey dresses and empire-waisted tank dresses can be easily paired with tight-fit leggings, tees and shawl collar slub cardigans for those cool breezes. Simply adding a few additional wardrobe pieces to the ensemble will ensure that girls are set for the summer with fun beach-themed graphic tees and ruffle tanks. The wearable works of art feature a feminine fit and intricate graphics and embellishments that can be worn throughout the summer.

"One of the most versatile dresses for summer is the tiered knit dress," said Pierce. "The soft, durable 100 percent cotton fabric makes care easy while the layers of tiered ruffles make it girlie and fun. The tank-style top is not only perfect for warmer weather, but also makes it a snap to layer with a short or long sleeve tee and a fun pair of leggings for those chillier summer nights or early fall days," added Pierce.
