Tesco joins EAS Tag Recirculation Programme

Melbourne-based TIC Group, in a strategic partnership with ALL-TAG Corporation has included Tesco to its list of retailers benefitting from their EAS Tag Recirculation Programme that allows retailers to source tag their apparel at the apparel vendor’s location rather than at their stores or distribution centers. Tesco joins companies such as Kohl’s.

Reusable EAS tags are shipped to apparel manufacturers anywhere in the world. The apparel manufacturers affix the EAS tags to garments before they are shipped to retail stores. The EAS Tags are removed in the retail stores at the point-of-sale, and they are collected and recovered by TIC Group and ALL-Tag. The EAS Tags are then sent to the processing centre where they are inspected, repackaged and recirculated back to the apparel manufacturers for another source tagging Recirculation.

“By implementing EAS Tag Recirculation, retailers achieve higher levels of security through precise tag placement on the garment, as well as far lower labour costs by eliminating in store or distribution centre tagging. The combined companies have over 1,100 employees and operate 12 distribution and sorting centres throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia,” commented Andy Gilbert, ALL-Tag VP of Sales. (SV)
