Warehouse software service provider SPS Commerce, the leader in hosted EDI software, announced Too Inc, a leading specialty retailer for young girls, will further automate its supply chain using SPS Commerce's Community Enablement and hosted EDI services with its domestic suppliers.
By mid-summer, Too Inc will have implemented SPS' hosted service as its exclusive EDI system. Then to ensure wide adoption of its automated order management process, SPS' Community Enablement campaign will target to enable Too Inc's vendors.
The enablement program includes the opportunity for Too Inc suppliers to utilize SPS Commerce's EDI Testing Service or one of its hosted transaction services to meet Too's electronic order management requirements, including purchase orders, Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) and bar code labels. The partnership will support Too in its effort to increase the throughput of it's current distribution center in Etna Township, Ohio.
“With more than 600 stores nationwide and growing, Too Inc realized that it needed to improve its processes that manage supplier shipments to its distribution center,” said John Moore, Senior Vice President, CIO and Logistics. At Too Inc “By automating our ship-to-DC orders using ASNs and standardized labeling, we could greatly improve our receiving rates and better allocate warehouse space and resources.
SPS Commerce offered us a rapid and cost-effective means to automate the information flow with our vendors. Our decision to team with SPS Commerce was an easy one given their proven track record of successful supplier enablement programs, existing relationships with many of our suppliers, and reliable hosted EDI services. We are pleased to have teamed with SPS Commerce in this initiative and are delighted with its progress.”
