Research firm Canesis to support Ecoglo

Mr MacPherson says the organisation's knowledge can help New Zealand manufacturing to remain competitive and keep its base in this country in the face of external pressures such as the high New Zealand dollar, rising energy prices and competition from low-wage economies such as China.

Mr MacPherson informs that they can keep niche manufacturing on shore if they become more competitive and that means they need to gain greater efficiencies in their processes, or develop something totally unique.

Ecoglo Director Trevor Dimond tells that the company's partnership with Canesis is a good example of the local industry working together to share expertise and develop innovations that enable New Zealand companies to lead their fields internationally.
