In March, China experienced a modest decrease in its road logistics price index, which fell by 0.89 per cent year-on-year, settling at 102.5, according to a recent survey by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing in collaboration with the Guangdong Lin'an Logistics Group. The drop is attributed primarily to the high comparison base from the same period the previous year.Particularly, the index for full-truckload logistics, a key measure for transportation, also witnessed a decrease, dipping 0.9 per cent to a level of 102.6 compared to last year. Despite the slight decline in the index, the survey indicated that both demand and supply within the road logistics market saw expansion in March.
Looking forward, the survey anticipates a potential mild increase in the road logistics price index in April, although it may continue to experience fluctuations, according to Chinese media reports.
