OrganoClick introduces OrganoTex for water repellency

OrganoClick has introduced OrganoTex, a textile impregnation product for making garments and fabrics water repellent. It will be sold as Spray-On or Wash-In to be applied by hand or in washing machine respectively. It will be sold to consumers through resellers within sport, outdoor and fashion retail, with Swedish Naturkompaniet as the first reseller.

OrganoTex Spray-On and Wash-In have been developed after several years of research and have been designed to give products water repellency, yet being biodegradable. The product is based on OrganoClick’s patented and awarded technology for modification of textile fibres and is totally free from the perfluorinated compounds (PFAS), cyclic siloxanes and isocyanates often used in textile impregnations. Several of these chemicals are thought to be carcinogenic and hormone disruptive, as well as bio-accumulative.

Naturkompaniet is a leading Swedish outdoor retailer with more than 30 stores in Sweden and is a part of the Fenix Outdoor group which also own brands such as Fjällräven and Tierra. OrganoTex Spray-On and Wash-In will be sold in stores from April 2018. (SV)
