The rate of growth of China's foreign trade is likely to see a decline this year and next year, according to a report on 'China's Foreign Trade Situation' released by the Ministry of Commerce.
The report says it would be impossible for China to repeat its high growth performance of 2010 this year. Last year, China's foreign trade increased by 34.7 percent and this year the figure is likely to fall by nearly 15 percent to 20 percent.
Further, the report expects China's trade surplus to decline from US$ 183.1 billion in 2010 to US$ 150 billion this year. The import and export growth will show a declining trend as the year progresses, according to the report.
The report adds that the country's foreign trade performance may be even lower in 2012 due to the increasingly complex economic situation in other countries.
