China's exports rise faster than imports in October

China’s total exports grew faster than imports during October 2012, according to the data on the country’s foreign trade released by the General Administration of Customs.
 
During the month, China’s total foreign trade registered US$ 319.15 billion, showing a rise of 7.3 percent year-on-year.
 
While total exports fetched US$ 175.57 billion, up 11.6 percent year-on-year, overall imports from the country touched US$ 143.58 billion, an increase of 2.4 percent year-on-year. Thus, China achieved a trade surplus of US$ 31.99 billion in October.
