CII Business Delegation to visit Tehran

As a part of it's initiative to strengthen the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a 12 member business delegation to Tehran, Iran from 23rd to 25th February 2008.
The Mission Programme is being coordinated by Indian Embassy in Tehran in cooperation with Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines, MOU partner of CII and the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran, New Delhi.
The objective of the Mission would be to brief the Iranian Industry, both in the private and the Government Sector, important Ministers and Officials of the Ministries of the Government of Iran dealing with trade, commerce, Industry and economy, and agencies involved in Industrial development and trade promotion of the existing economic environment in India and to project Indian Industry's capabilities and identify areas of cooperation.
The Mission would lay stress on one to one meetings with the Iranian companies to facilitate transaction of business.
At the invitation of CII H E Dr Davood Danesh Jafari, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Islamic Republic of Iran addressed at the CII Partnership Summit 2008 in January 2008.
He urged the Indian Industry to further enhance the bilateral trade and economic relationship with Iran particularly in the private sector.
He mentioned that the current government and policy makers in Iran have a strong determination towards expanding the private sector role in Iran's economy.
