Safexpress Pvt Ltd, Leaders in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry sponsored the '2nd Indian Consumer Mindscapes Conference 2008'. The conference was held on 29th April 2008 at The Imperial Hotel, Delhi, India.

The Conference identified the opportunities and challenges of the Indian FMCG and Consumer Durable market. It was strongly felt that an efficient Supply Chain could lend a helping hand to marketers in providing customized services to the consumers.

General Manager - Marketing, Safexpress, Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, while addressing the media at the conference, said “The Indian consumer market is growing at a fast pace with different individuals having varied needs.

The purchasing power parity of the Indian consumers has increased significantly over the last few years. Therefore, they want the best and the latest, that too without delay.

To improve the efficiency and reach of the marketers, Supply Chain can play a huge role. Specialized Supply Chain players like us can give these marketers, Express Delivery and 3PL services which can help in catering to the ever increasing demands of the consumers”.

The theme of Consumer Mindscapes Conference was 'Powering Business Through Foresight', where Industry top shots like Mr. Paco Underhill, Founder and Managing Director, Envirosell, USA; Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries, India; Mr. Venkatesh Kini, Vice President - Marketing, Coca Cola India; Mr. Darshan Mehta, CEO and Managing Director, Reliance Brands, India; Mr. Hemant Sachdev, Director - Marketing and Communications, Bharti Enterprises, India, and many more came together to discuss the various aspects of Indian Consumer market, the challenges that it is throwing in the path of Indian marketers and the ways of tackling such challenges.

India, with its one billion plus consumers, is one of the largest, dynamic and most varied markets in the world. Indian consumers are increasingly getting selective, affluent and highly demanding.

In order to cater to all their whims it becomes increasingly important to understand their wants. This Conference was held to explore the very same.
