Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, has stated that India is the largest trading partner of Bhutan.

During the interaction with Mr. Lynbo Khandu Wangchuk, Economic Affairs Minister of Bhutan, Shri Kamal Nath stated that although Bhutan's economy is inextricably linked with India, efforts towards diversification of markets and products are actively pursued.

“India and Bhutan have traditionally enjoyed a warm, cordial and mutually beneficial relationship.

These relations are further strengthened by regular exchange of high-level visits,” Shri Kamal Nath added.

During the meeting, both sides felt that there is huge potential for increasing the bilateral trade.
