New York-based apparel manufacturer Anvil Knitwear Inc, announced that Anthony Corsano, CEO received the Metro New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2008 Award in the Retail and Consumer Products Category.

According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. "I'm honored to accept this prestigious award, which is the result of a collaborative effort of many," said Anvil CEO Anthony Corsano. "The entire family of Anvil employees worked tirelessly during the last three years to insure a smooth transition through our restructuring, including the phenomenally successful launch of our AnvilOrganic line. I'm proud to be recognized on behalf of Anvil, our customers and our suppliers."
