Anvil CEO bags E&Y Metro New York Entrepreneur of the Year Award

New York-based apparel manufacturer Anvil Knitwear Inc, announced that Anthony Corsano, CEO received the Metro New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2008 Award in the Retail and Consumer Products Category.
According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Anthony Corsano was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York on Thursday, June 26.
"I'm honored to accept this prestigious award, which is the result of a collaborative effort of many," said Anvil CEO Anthony Corsano. "The entire family of Anvil employees worked tirelessly during the last three years to insure a smooth transition through our restructuring, including the phenomenally successful launch of our AnvilOrganic line. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards celebrate their 22nd anniversary this year. The program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
