Govt to set up Anti-monopolization Bureau

Government officially implemented the 'Anti-Monopoly Law' on August 1, 2008. This has been considered a major step and was acknowledged by global business world.

Now, authorities are planning to streamline the Ministry of Commerce, and also form the Anti-monopolization Bureau.

Reportedly, this department was scheduled to be put together before August 1. The key function of this Bureau will be to conduct anti-monopolization examination on the enterprises located in China.

Secondly, the department will guide Chinese enterprises during foreign anti-monopolization investigation.

Bureau will be responsible to promote international cooperation and interactions regarding competition policies.

During the streamlining process, Government will also issue new plan. According to this, in future, local administration will be responsible for examining and approving the business qualification of import and export enterprises.

Besides, the several organizations and institutions will take over the tasks of efficiently restructuring trade activities related to expositions as well as other event.
