It is estimated that the exports of non-oil and gas will see 10 percent raise next year i.e. in 2010, while in terms of volume it is likely to increase by 5 percent compared to this year's predicted performance of 20 percent.

The resources-based products such as crude palm oil (CPO) and coal, which are counted among the superior products, have significant contribution in country's overall exports.

Textile industry products, shoes and other creative products are some new items that are also developed as the potential products for overseas shipments. However, the country is facing challenges for creating competitive climate due to the obstacles such as infrastructure, investment climate and high cost economy.
