Clariant will continue to develop fashionable leathers

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited's Leather Business continued its Road Show which showcased the Autumn - Winter 2011/12 and the Spring Summer 2011 Leather Collection. Kolkata was in October; Ranipet followed by Ambur and Vaniyambadi in November. The concept of the show was to display and make aware of the future and latest trends in leather fashion articles to the leather manufacturers in Eastern and Southern India.

Mr. P. Rajasekaran, Head BU Leather highlighted the importance of the show, “Clariant's leather business in India is committed to the leather industry and will continue to develop fashionable leathers that are relevant to the changing seasons and tastes of the industry. This kind of road shows helps us to bring the latest fashion and technology much closer and in a personalized manner to the customers.”

Ably supported by detailed Posters, Hanger displays, tables loaded with colorful samples, etc., the visitors got a first hand experience of the products. All major manufacturers/customers interacted with the Clariant executives.

The show helped the promotion of new fashion predictions from Clariant for the Autumn Winter 2011-2012 leather collections on cow, buff, sheep and goat leather. Also on focus were the new trends of Country House, Mountain Trail, Masquerade and Urban Hub. For the Spring/Summer 2011 the highlight was on shoe uppers leathers on cow, buff, sheep, and goat leather - on the themes of Country Cousins, Bohemian Rhapsody, Primeval Spirit and Latin Lovers, to mention a few. Sheep Up gradation was the principle interest of the Show.

The meet also presented Melioderm dyes on Cow Nubucks and full chrome/semi chrome suede garment leathers. It also provided a first hand descriptive knowledge of the global colour trends and other new developments along with getting the opportunity to explore the leather fashion concepts and get a clear picture of the 2011-12 Autumn-Winter and 2011 Spring Summer.

Mr. Subir Datta, Head Leather Sales - North India & Bangladesh, Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited explained, “Clariant is better equipped in showcasing the future fashion trends with leathers exclusively developed in Indian labs under Indian conditions, so that reproducibility in the local tanneries is easy. Moreover, the presentation is entirely different with ample scope for the customers to have one-to-one detailed discussions about the process and products involved in developing the leathers. This is advantageous to our customers, since they are better prepared with the advanced information of the future trends and colours.

Using our products gives them ready solutions, which facilitates in developing their samples well in advance and keep them abreast in the international market.
