A third partnership between the IFM and French glove makers was launched in January as part of the Postgraduate Fashion Design Program 2007/2008.
B2S, a style agency that specialises in the leather professions, acts as intermediary between the Fédération de la Ganterie, the glove-makers and the IFM to ensure the integration of gloves into the design cycle every second year.
The IFM designers create and present designs for gloves and shoes. The program includes the realisation of a glove and shoe project in tandem with partner companies : Ganterie de Saint Junien, Georges Morand and Agnelle (in Saint-Junien), Gant Causse, Lavabre Cadet and Maison Fabre (in Millau). Louis Vuitton, Bally, Charles Jourdan and Robert Clergerie are the shoe partners.
The final results will be displayed in 2008 at a trade fair and as part of an end of year event where the IFM will present all of the work, clothes and accessories.
