Some remarkable points
High-tech 'fabric' innovations are gaining great importance, but they don't really look very 'techno' or futuristic, and are often invisibly integrated; body comfort and functionality are major topics and cannot be separated from 'fashionable' looks. Fun can also be a factor: one of many novelties, textile made from the same material that is used for chewing gum!

Cross-overs and cooperation in cosmetic and food industry with regard to styling and use of materials

Need for clarity and order is found in many geometric designs, cuts, motives and graphics; they become more decorative and expressive by African fashion influences or bold graphic moods.

Many silhouettes for women become more A-shaped, wider, looser, yet still feminine; so many wide skirts, petticoats, but under these clothes and on top of them there always is something small, tight, even tiny, that needs the comfort of stretch yarns. Trousers are often narrow from belly, hips to knees and need the same freedom of movement.
