Casual fashion footwear maker The Fashion House Inc announced that James Burt has been named national sales manager of its Oscar by Oscar de la Renta line, an upscale collection slated to ship to stores this summer.
Burt brings more than a decade of designer footwear and women's accessory experience to The Fashion House, most recently serving as an account executive at Stuart Weitzman Footwear in New York.
In his new role, Burt will be responsible for sales and brand positioning, making certain the Oscar by Oscar de la Renta brand has broad appeal, reaching women of all ages. The former merchandise planner with Saks Fifth Avenue will report directly to Tom Anzures, Executive Vice President of the Los Angeles-based company.

In Burt's previous role at Stuart Weitzman, he coordinated product development and wholesale distribution for Nordstrom. He also assisted in developing the Stuart Weitzman business at Bloomingdale's, helping the department store meet its sales and profitability targets.
Oscar by Oscar de la Renta is a bridge line that will begin shipping to stores in July. The collection embodies the feminine and glamorous spirit that is the trademark of Oscar de la Renta design.
