Smith Optics to sponsor team CSC again in 2006

Smith Optics, a leader in optical performance and innovation, has renewed its sponsorship with the number one road cycling team in the world, Team CSC.
"We are very happy to continue our great collaboration with Smith. They have a superb product that we are proud to use. Their impressive range of high end glasses and their unique attitude towards design and technology cover all of the needs of a world class cycling team. We look forward to riding with Smith again this season,” quoted Team CSC's Director and cycling legend Bjarne Riis.
After a successful campaign in 2005 which saw Smith Optics-sponsored riders wear both the Tour de France's yellow leader's jersey and the Giro d'Italia's pink, the two most coveted prizes in cycling, Smith Optics is gearing up for another exciting season with professional cycling's number one team.
“Our involvement with Team CSC has allowed us to challenge ourselves both in terms of our technology and design. Bjarne is extremely concerned with having the highest quality product available to his team and we are filling a key role for the finest group of professionals in the world,” stated Greg Randolph, Smith Optics' Bike Marketing and Promotions Manager.
Team CSC's roster is filled with capable riders, many of whom are the rising stars of the sport. This unique team, comprised of both the present and future, is led by Ivan Basso, the man many expect to win the next Tour de France.
