GRT introduces platinum jewellery in Chennai

G R Thanga Maligai (GRT) jewellers of Chennai has introduced a complete range of bridal platinum jewellery collection for the first time in India.
The collection includes engagement and marriage rings, chains and bangles for the bride, and bracelets, chains and rings for the groom.
Managing Director G R Ananthapadmanabhan informed that during the wedding season platinum jewellery is much in demand and Chennai is the biggest market for the white metal.
He added that Platinum has a high rate of Rs2,000 to Rs2,500 per gram and GRT has ornaments in the price range of Rs8000 to Rs2 lakhs per item. The bridal collection set is available at price of Rs10 lakhs.
Taking advantage of the festive season, GRT will begin an ad campaign of which 40 percent expenses will be paid by Platinum Guild India. As per MD, GRT will shell out Rs35 lakhs for the ad.
Platinum Guild India has awarded GRT as the best platinum jewellery showroom for the third successive year.
