"November comp store sales were generally weak. In addition, higher spending in hurricane affected states last year further unfavorably impacted the month," stated John Cato, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
During the month of November, the Company opened eight stores. New stores opened in Wetumpka, AL (2 stores), Quincy and Rockford, IL, La Porte, IN, Gallup, NM, Mocksville, NC, and Shamokin, PA.
As of November 25, 2006, the Company operated 1,278 stores in 31 states, compared to 1,232 stores in 31 states as of November 26, 2005.
