Big prospects to expand Max brand, says GM Colin Dean

Landmark Group, recently, launched its second Max outlet at Jordan's Istiklal Mall. Comapnay said that success of their debut Mecca Mall store had encouraged the expansion of Max brand.

Colin Dean, General Manager, Landmark Jordan PSC Ltd, told Fibre2fashion that that both stores are similar in terms of products, ambience, collections, customers shopping experience and other such facilities. However, the Istiklal store is slightly smaller than the Mecca Mall Max.

As for the decision to open second store, Dean explained, “Certainly the success of our first store in Mecca Mall has been outstanding and this has confirmed our belief that Jordan is a market where the key components of the Max brand such as quality, value and fashion are perfectly matched to the retail environment. Hence, the second store. We have also ofcourse conducted our own Market Research, which supports our decision to expand our offer in Jordan.”

The GM elaborated that the Jordanian market is one where there are huge opportunities for retailers such as Max to expand market. “The retail environment here is very price conscious and our position as a value retailer perfectly suits the aspirations of the buying public,” he said.

Regarding the company's future plans of spreading Max brand globally, Dean informed, “We are currently looking at opportunities to expand Max in Jordan. We are confident that there is a substantial growth potential here for the brand, based on our experience to date.”
