MarediModa 2007- a resounding success

The results of the sixth year of MarediModa (Cannes, 27th-29th November 2007) – the trade fair for beachwear fabrics and accessories and top-end underwear – are proof of the success of the event that has become a point of reference for all sector professionals.

Compared to last year, the overall number of visitors increased by 14% (2,755 over the three days). The 132 exhibitors were able to meet visitors from 49 different countries, with representatives from more than 950 companies, including the leading international companies. Most visitors came from Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom and Germany, but there were also many from Greece, Netherlands and United States.

Exhibitors were very satisfied about the number of new contacts made, in particular those in the underwear sector – exhibiting at the fair for the second year in the IntimodiModa section – above all due to their greater visibility with the new exhibition layout.

At MarediModa 2007 all exhibitors were on the ground floor of the Palais Des Festivals (beachwear and underwear), whilst on the first floor – in the picturesque setting of the Rotonde Lérins – were the beachwear and underwear trend areas, the exhibitors of the Euro-Med Outsourcing Show, media partner stands and the stands of the designers and finalists for the MarediModa Beachwear Award.

The results for Euro-Med Outsourcing exhibitors were also good, with third party garment manufacturers from Eastern Europe and theMediterranean area. The initiative that was launched this year, aimed at supporting designers in the sector in locating the most efficient and reliable partners in order to develop their production, was also positively received by visitors.
