Brantano Group attains turnover of 224.7 mn in first 9 months

Belgium based footwear retailer Brantano Group's announced on 30th Sept 2005, had achieved a turnover of € 224.7 million, which is 7.6 percent lower than the € 243.2 million which it realised in the first nine months of last year. In 2004, the consolidated turnover still included the revenues earned in the Netherlands and Denmark.
In view of the sale of the Dutch and Danish stores, they are no longer being included in the 2005 consolidation. On a comparable basis (excluding the Netherlands and Denmark), turnover experienced a negative growth of 0.3 percent. Excluding the exchange rate effects, revenues were up by 0.7 percent.

The most dynamic European shoe retailer The Brantano Group currently sells shoes under the Brantano name in Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Denmark. The franchise stores opened in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar also now bear the Brantano name. At the end of June 2005 Brantano has 271 shops.
