Chinese designer Ji-ji says 'Hello Paris'

Duty Free Paris, the joint venture between The Nuance Group and Aéroports de Paris, is proud to present an exciting product novelty at four of its fashion boutiques at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. “Hi Panda” by famous Chinese designer Ji-ji is making its debut with a range of T-shirts including a special design created by Ji-ji uniquely for Duty Free Paris which has already become a collector's item.
Ji-ji is a Shanghai based designer and artist who created “Hi Panda” in 2000. He recently displayed his art at the “Palais de Tokyo” museum in Paris inviting considerable media coverage.
During the Designer's Days held in Paris between June 9 and 14, Ji-ji was exhibiting some of his works of art at the Parisian airports. For the Paris Fashion Week held from July 5 to 8, the artist has developed some exclusive products. One of them, a T-shirt of the panda with a French flag and the words “Hello Paris”, is exclusively available from Duty Free Paris.
Guy Bodescot, General Manager, Duty Free Paris, comments: “We are proud to be able to present Ji-ji's products and particularly this exclusive collector's item at our shops. Exciting product launches such as this underline the importance of Paris as capital city of fashion and the trend setting role of fashion retailing at the Parisian airports.”
In order to further advertise this exclusive cooperation, Aéroports de Paris have opened a Face Book link with a game for passengers to count panda statutes displayed at the entrance of the Duty Free Paris shops featuring the product.
