The British Fashion Council (BFC) has unveiled the nominees for The Fashion Awards 2023 (TFA), set to take place on December 4, 2023, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. In the British Womenswear Designer of the Year category, Erdem Moralioglu, Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo, Nensi Dojaka, Roksanda Ilincic, and Simone Rocha have been nominated.

Nominees in the British Menswear Designer of the Year category include Grace Wales Bonner, Kiko Kostadinov, Kim Jones for Dior Men, Martine Rose, and Steven Stokey-Daley, BFC said in a press release.

The New Establishment Menswear nominees are Bianca Saunders, Corteiz, LABRUM London, Nicholas Daley, and Saul Nash, while the New Establishment Womenswear category features Chopova Lowena, Dilara Findikoglu, KNWLS, ROBERT WUN, and Supriya Lele.

A voting committee comprising 1,000 leading industry members will determine the winners. This panel is chaired by Caroline Issa, BFC non-exec board member and chief executive of Tank Magazine. It includes a diverse array of fashion industry figures, from stylists and consultants to buying directors.

The winners will be revealed on the night of the awards.

In addition to these categories, the TFA will announce the nominees for the Designer of the Year and the BFC Foundation Award in November. The ceremony will also include special categories such as the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Outstanding Achievement Award, and Leader of Change, among other Special Recognition Awards. The event will further spotlight 50 emerging talents from around the world as part of New Wave: Creatives.
