Parisian fashion designer Guillaume Henry has launched the final collection titled A Day in the Office for storied French fashion house Carven.
The designer, who is currently helming the popular French label Nina Ricci, has created a functional yet stylish pre-fall 2015 line before stepping down from his position as creative director at the ready-to-wear label.Parisian fashion designer Guillaume Henry has launched the final collection titled A Day in the Office for storied French fashion house Carven.#
Based on a warm palette of chocolate, navy, caramel, beige and mocha hues, the 1970’s-inspired range is adorned with prints of old television sets, vintage cassettes, stripes, checks and colour blocking patterns.
The collection includes polo shirts with silk twill inserts, asymmetrical crepe skirts, masculine style-inspired wool coats, high-waist flared culottes, cable knit cropped sweaters, button-down shirts and slit pencil skirts.
Founded in 1945, the Paris-based high-fashion brand Carven specialises in prêt-a-porter and luxury products.
An alumnus of Institut Français de la Mode, Henry was the first designer to helm the relaunched Carven brand in 2009. In the past, the designer has worked for the house of Givenchy under the guidance of Welsh fashion designer Julien MacDonald. (PB)
