India’s SucSEED Ventures recently invested in Protinus Fashion Networking Pvt Ltd, which operates fashion commerce and retail management platform 6Degree, to expand its horizon into fashion commerce and retail management platform segment. The investment was done through a pre-series A round, whereas Kieretsu Forum had invested seed capital earlier.
6Degree network has over 15,000 professionals and over 4,000 fashion designers. The company also has partnerships with over 100 multi-brand stores and leading fashion platforms like IMG Reliance, Lakme Fashion Week and the Fashion Design Council of India.
Talking about the company's plans to utilise the funds co-founder Nikhil Hegde said in a statement that it will now be able to move quicker and bring about a democracy in styles to consumers and support local designer talent in becoming strong national and global brands.
6Degree was started in 2015 by Hegde and Amit Bhardwaj to bring the unorganised fashion industry to one platform.
