The store closing sales have already started, and are expected to last several weeks before all of the merchandise is sold in the store locations, said GA Group, which has developed an extensive retail disposition expertise after working with specialty retailers for over 40 years.
GA's strategy includes creating marketing plans to drive traffic and attract customers to yield a quick and efficient exit for store locations.
Initially, customers at Jones New York factory stores can expect discounts up to 40 per cent on all apparel and accessories. Select furniture, fixtures and equipment at stores and distribution centres will also be available for sale.
“Great American Group's history of working with the brand through our appraisal services has given us leverage in knowing their merchandise, and our experience working with fashion retailers means we understand their customers,” explained Scott Carpenter, president of GA's Retail Solutions division.
"Over the next several weeks we will work to quickly sell through the apparel and accessories while maximising its value,” he added. (RKS)
