Eleven new faces for LFW Summer/Resort 2012

LFW Summer/Resort 2012 Model Auditions saw an overwhelming response from Male & Female Models from across India and other countries. After a four season hiatus, LFW re-introduced Male Model auditions and received over 200 male models applicants to walk the ramp. Lakmé Fashion Week announced a total of 11 new faces for this season: 7 Female and 4 Male Models.
Each finalist was shortlisted after three intense rounds of judging by an esteemed panel of judges. The jury this season consisted of some of the most experienced and well-known members of the Indian fashion industry that included Supermodel Nina Manuel, Show Directors Anu Ahuja, Lubna Adams & Shy Kalra, Photographer Farrokh Chotia, Designer Narendra Kumar, Designer & Stylist Aki Narula along with Anjana Sharma, Director Fashion, IMG Reliance.
LFW is known to mentor new talent and introducing some of the most promising faces in the industry. This season the models were assessed based on their confidence, poise and their ability to bring to life a designer's creation on the ramp while maintaining excellent standards in the quality of models selected.
Present at the occasion and as a member of the jury, Anjana Sharma, Director Fashion, IMG Reliance, said, “Lakmé Fashion Week has always recognised new talent across different facets of fashion. And the model auditions have set a benchmark in the industry. This season we re-introduced the male model auditions and the response was great as over 200 male models turned up for the auditions."
