In association with Ocean Drive Magazine’s 2012 Fashion Event Series, Cubavera will host the unforgettable RSVP-only event on Sept. 20, 2012 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Surfcomber, Miami Beach’s trendy boutique hotel. The runway show will feature the latest Cubavera looks with a diverse collection that includes vibrant swim, resort and formal wear.
The show’s host, Azucena Cierco, is currently a co-host on Telemundo’s hit morning television show “Levantate.” She has worked previously as a reporter on Univision’s “El Gordo y la Flaca,” hosted the first edition of “Premios Juventud,” and as part of the “Al Rojo Vivo” team has interviewed on camera important celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Ricky Martin, and Eva Mendez, among countless others. Crowned the “Fashion Lady,” Cierco’s extensive experience in the entertainment industry makes her the picture-perfect hostess for this exciting fashion-forward event.
Cubavera models, styled by beauty experts from Brilliance New York, won’t be the only factor heating up the runway. The Latin music group, Axis, has complemented the culturally eclectic style of Cubavera in the past at events such as the opening of HistoryMiami’s exhibit, The Guayabera: A Shirt’s Story. Special guest Manuel Huerta, Miami’s own triathlete, is back from the London Summer Olympics and will also be attending the Cubavera fashion show.
The vintage-meets-modern fashion show will provide guests with flavorful hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Lantao Kitchen + Cocktails paired with Chambord Vodka Cuban-inspired drinks. With complimentary poolside treats and lively entertainment, the good life is only an RSVP away. Miami may have you living the good life, but Cubavera has you wearing it.
