Staying true to her love for traditional craftsmanship, Anita Dongre’s SS 2013 – iinterpret - collection draws inspiration from traditional Mughal architecture, beautifully depicted using digital printing technique. Enigmatic patterns reinterpreting old Mughal designs have been recreated and then been digitally printed. Digital printing allows for a rainbow palette featuring pretty pastels, pinks and corals, dreamy aqua, lime green and cobalt blue, the elegant nude and classic blacks and whites. This riot of digital prints has been styled with textures such as layering, pleating and pinching. This collection also features fuss-free flowy silhouettes in feminine ombre shades and in bold solids.
Anita Dongre iinterpret retains classic aesthetics and combines it with contemporary flavor, tending to modern feminine versatility. The kaleidoscopic designs have been further embellished with delicate embroideries on cool and breezy summer fabrics such as mal, georgettes and cottons.

Anita Dongre says, “Digital prints allow for enhanced flexibility and diversity with a higher level of creativity. Today’s woman understands and appreciates the beauty of our tradition and the importance of retaining it. I want to give her a piece which is a well-styled classic addition to her wardrobe. Technology allows me to translate India’s precious ancient Mughal architecture onto my designs, and helps me realize the merging of art and fashion. I am very excited to present my Spring Summer 2013 iinterpret collection at Wills India Fashion Week”.
