Fashion designers from India will be showcasing their collections at the South Asia Trade Fair (SATF) 2013, scheduled to be held from February 14 at Feria Valencia in Spain.

SATF aims at furthering a common platform for promotion of trade between several South Asian countries and European countries. It would help firms from South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka as well as Dubai to promote their goods and to decide on their future European expansion plans.

Around 400 companies are likely to participate in the four-day event, which would also invite participation of several fashion designers, who would showcase their collection by organizing ramp walks at regular intervals.

Neeta Lulla and Rocky S, renowned fashion designers from India, are among those who have confirmed their participation at the event, and will showcase their summer and autumn collections, according to organizers.

Applauding the idea of bringing several fashion designers and other fashion stakeholders on a single platform, Rocky S said participation in the fair is a matter of pride for him.

He further said that the fashion industry is expanding both in terms of value and creativity, and participation in SATF would surely be a great experience.

Alongside ramp shows, the fair would also host events like gastronomic tastings and dance shows by 50 international artists.
