Hollywood celebrity favourite, multiple award-winning Filipino designer Michael Cinco created a fairy tale like dramatic atmosphere on the second day of the inaugural Fashion Forward (FFWD) event in Dubai.

The Dubai-based designer presented an array of form-fitting majestic glamorous gowns, made of sheer and lace, reminding of Russian Czars. Encrusted with diamante, crystals and his signature rich embroidery, the sequined ensembles were attached with massive ruffled trains.

Lebanese designer Rami Kadi, who made his Dubai debut with this event, showcased his fine craftsmanship in the fresh playful ensembles. Decorated with intricate embroidery, the collection included frilly short skirts, luxurious silk organza draped gowns, metallic hemmed lace dresses and pastel-coloured tuxedo jackets.

Modern clothing label Toujouri, by Doha-based designer Lama El-Moatassem, showcased a very structured wearable collection on the second day of the event. The elegant yet practical ensembles included green and turquoise hued billowing kaftans, silver belted jumpsuits and collarless evening coats.

UAE-based Dima Ayad and Dubai’s designer duo Arwa Abdul Hadi and Basma Abu Gazaleh also presented their mix of vintage as well as boho chic collections at FFWD.
