Priyadarshini Rao's collection punch line has always been 'simplicity with timeless elegance' and this time also her collection inspired by Gabrial Garcia Marquez to the retro Blues of New Orleans and the Glastonbury Festival, has mesmerized everyone at Lakme Fashion Week.
Unique colours combination varied with tones of brown, burgundy, chocolate, maroon and pastels like pink, blue, lemon and ecru.
Priyadarshini's textile background gives her proficiency to use velvets with poplins, tweeds, georgette, silk, jacquard, sheets, over dyed crochet and linen with ease.
All her collections were very unique comprising Smocks, blouses, handkerchief hemline skirts, some flared with tonal embellishments, cotton skirts, vests, small sleeveless blouses with soft jackets, cute puff sleeved tops were all put together to form a young trendy look.
Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is a joint initiative between Lakme, the leading cosmetics brand and IMG, the global leader in fashion weeks and event production.
LFW has been conceived and created with an aim to integrate India into the global fashion world.
