Miss Selfridge launches vintage inspired flapper dresses

The in-house design team took inspiration from their favourite 1920’s dresses from their famous Vintage Archive, sourced from the best vintage fairs in New York, London and Paris by the brands Creative Director Yasmin Yusuf.

“The 19MS_RedDress20’s pieces are always my favourite finds on a Vintage buying trip. Every detail is simply stunning from the heavy bead work, sparkly fabrics, cut and colours.

"It’s almost impossible now to find these dresses now in good condition, as they are nearly a hundred years old. But we have been lucky enough through the years to collect some beautiful classic dresses in varied styles. We are pleased that our customers can now enjoy a piece of our Archive at an affordable price” Yasmin Yusuf

The Limited Edition dresses, which launch just in time for the Christmas party season, stay true to their heritage with all design aspects being taken from the originals. Each one is hand beaded and key details include beaded fringing, low open backs and drop waists. There is only 200 of each dress being made.
