The fashion show will be held at 8:00 pm on Sunday February 16, 2014 in the Grand Ballroom of the landmark New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Avenue in the heart of the city's Fashion District.
Inspired by the imposing majesty of modern-day skyscrapers, Carlos Vigil’s Fall 2014 collection pays homage to human ingenuity and the towering architecture of the most cosmopolitan cities on Earth. With new technology, many of these buildings twist and turn in sensual lines and feminine curves, reminiscent of the beauty of the female form.
This is the starting point of “Metropolis”, an haute couture collection filled with structured patterns, curved lines and sensual embroidery for a perfect combination of architecture and femininity, translated into luxury fashion. Vibrant blues, metallic grays and warm magentas, together with impeccable workmanship and the finest silk shantung and soft chiffons, give this collection a sophisticated look, ideal for the powerful and sexy woman of today.
Carlos Vigil has been a fashion industry leader in his native Peru for almost three decades, specializing in haute couture evening dresses and wedding gowns.
He is the founder and head designer of Atelier Carlos Vigil, a family run business, where Mr. Vigil, along with his three daughters -- Cinthia Vigil, junior designer, Lisseth Vigil, designer of shoes and handbags and Vanessa Vigil, designing jewelry andCarlos Vigil Fashion Show at Couture Fashion Week NY accessories -- creates a comprehensive one-stop-shopping experience for his clientele.

His passion for his craft translates into the personal attention he gives to each client who visits his atelier, and who become more friends than clients.
Carlos Vigil has dazzled audiences in New York City, Miami and Paris with his exquisite designs. He is inspired by the aesthetic and beauty of nature, as well as by the shapes and perfect lines of modern architecture where he gets daring combinations of form and color.
Textures, contrasts and plays on shapes are some of the tools he uses to create exclusive haute couture designs, with the finest fabrics, made meticulously by hand with attention to detail by a team of Peruvian artisans, trained personally by the designer in all the high fashion techniques used in his collections.
Atelier Carlos Vigil believes in Fair Trade and uses Peruvian craftsmanship to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art to represent its country in all the runway shows in which it participates.
