Auckland city in New Zealand is all set to witness more than 20 fashion-based events at the forthcoming third season of the city’s high on fashion celebration ‘10 Days of Fashion in the City’.

Slated to take place from February 28 to March 9, 2014, the fest will open with a launch party titled The Height of Fashion which would showcase latest collections from New Zealand’s 10 leading fashion houses, including Dame Trelise Cooper DNZM, Adrian Hailwood, Yvonne Bennetti and Kathryn Wilson.

The Britomart Fashion Sessions will stage six catwalk shows from 12 local and international labels such as Juliette Hogan, Timberland, Onitsuka Tiger, Coucou and Zambesi over a period of two days.

The city event will also present a free-for-all runway show, featuring a 125-metre-long catwalk in the city’s busiest location Queen Street. The show will see some 40 models parading in nearly 80 in-season outfits from Auckland’s most popular boutiques and fast fashion retailers.

Other than the style studded glamorous fashion shows and other celebrations, the high-octane 10-day fest will also provide shoppers an opportunity to avail the tempting 100 in-store offers at the participating retailers.

In addition to the aforementioned attractions, the 10 Days of Fashion in the City will host an exhibition entitled ‘Hello, We Are The New Zealand Fashion Museum’ which will feature four mini clothing displays—Black in Fashion, Looking Terrific-El Jay, Home Sewn and Seventies fashion in Age of Aquarius.

Also, four fashion-themed movies such as ‘Valentino: The Last Emperor’, ‘The September Issue’, ‘Bill Cunningham: New York’ and ‘Annie Hall’ will be showcased at different venues around the city.
