The young designer, who will showcase as part of the Fondazione Pitti Discovery supported young Italian designers’ promotional project Pitti Italics, would unveil his new menswear collection at the Florentine event, slated to take place from June 17 to 24, 2014.

Speaking about his upcoming fashion parade, the Milanese talent says, “For me, it is a real honor to take part in this event with a performance-show of my brand, County of Milan, which is showing here for the first time ever.”

Other than Marcelo Burlon’s show, the four-day event will also see the debut of another emerging, but already acclaimed, local label Au Jour le Jour, as part of the same young designers’ program Pitti Italics.

Owned by designer duo Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez, the young brand, which was first introduced at Armani’s Teatro Space, will feature its Au Jour le Jour Garçon male fashion line at the soiree.

While commenting on the label’s selection in the event, the Pitti Immagine Director of Communications and Events Lapo Cianchi says, “We have been monitoring the development of the au jour le jour style and its growing international success for several seasons. It is totally Italian but with a strong cosmopolitan flair, and will present the men’s collection for the first time as part of the Pitti Italics program.”

Pitti Immagine Uomo 86 will see beachwear, active wear, sportswear and other clothing accessories from nearly 1,030 famous menswear brands and some 70 leading women’s labels from over 30 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Canada, France, Germany and Hong Kong.
