DIVA'NI releases 2014 bridal line First Lady by DIVA'NI

Ahead of the release of the much awaited Hindi movie Daawat-e-Ishq, the Indian cinema-inspired clothing label DIVA’NI have come together to release a bridal collection titled First Lady by DIVA’NI.
Replete with modern textures, dramatic accents, lithe and fluid silhouettes, the rich exotic range is inspired from opulent oriental aesthetics.
Based on a fresh palette of soft minty green, baby pink and sea blue hues, the vintage-meets-modern Divani's Bridal Collection 2014 includes tussle adorned long waist skirts and jackets.
Parinita Saluja, the Head Designer of DIVA’NI reveals in a statement, “The bridal collection is for today’s modern and evolved women who is focused and opts for different choices rather than typical bridal wear.”
“At DIVA’NI we have tried to create a strange nostalgic and romantic feel through this collection with long waist skirts, tussles and jackets which is a nice variation for a bride, it’s more dreamy and inspirational a mix of modern and vintage with contemporary embroidery and classic silhouette ,” she adds.
The collection was unveiled at a special dinner ceremony celebrating the quaint regal flavours of Awadh region. Titled as Daawat-e-Awadh, the event saw the leading starcast, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur, from the Bollywood film.

Incepted by India’s leading film Production House, Yash Raj Films and the Delhi-based saree specialist KBSH Private Limited, the womenswear brand DIVA’NI celebrates the romanticism of the Indian cinema. The label specializes in Indian bridal wedding wear, designer sarees, lehenga choli, salwar suit kameez as well as partywear fancy lehenga and silk sarees.
Established in 1947, KBSH operates with a workforce of extremely talented artisans belonging to Banaras, Lucknow, Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
Releasing today, Daawat-e-Ishq is a story of a Lucknawi cook enamoured with the charms of a Hyderabadi shoe-sales girl. (PB)
