Designer's breathtaking collection at Paris fashion week

Many prominent designers are taking pride by showcasing their creations in the Autumn/Winter collection at the Paris fashion week.

London born Stella McCartney, who refuses to use animal skins has offered a crisp collection without a single ornament, bead or dash of fur. Her oversize nubby wool coats, slouchy sweater dresses and pleated party dresses has attracted her fun-loving clientele.

The colour palette she has chosen was black, gray, bright fuchsia and red. She tried to bring effortlessly chic but still a polished look in her designs.

Andrew Gn who is known as the master of embellishments, created an art-deco inspired collection using amethyst, malachite and turquoise appliqué at the neck instead of jewels all over.

His showcased a lovely skirt made of hand-frayed organza petals and ostrich feathers; a tweed coat has a collar of pheasant feathers; the cuffs of a wool bouclé coat are trimmed in amethyst and lapis and all of these were quite breathtaking.

Gn also presented his new line of handbags. Styles range from an ultra-luxe mink and alligator handbag to a gold-trimmed deco clutch dotted with semi-precious stones.

Akris' Arthur Krimler known for using the world's finest fabrics from Switzerland. He created futuristic look with a 12-ply cashmere shrug of three-dimensional cubes. Many outfits were cinched at the waist with a wide chrome belt.

He also presented a dotted a silk tulle skirt with dangling slivers of celluloid, fashioned coats from a crushed aluminum fabric, embroidered jackets with black silk 'asphalt'.

Elie Saab showcased sexy evening wears which any party girl would crave for. He mixed feathers and leather in a tough-and-tender combination. The colour gamut he had chosen ran from purple, green and turquoise.
